Ohio University has an online RN to BSN Nursing program that allows registered nurses with associate degrees or hospital diplomas in nursing to earn a online bachelor’s degree in nursing in as little as 12 months. If all general education and prerequisite courses have been completed, it will take 12 months and 50 quarter credits to earn the baccalaureate degree in nursing. All of these courses can be taken online. Each course is five weeks duration.
None of the courses in this program have a clinical component. You probably completed all of the required clinicals when you initially earned your RN license.
In order to complete this program with just 50 quarter credits, you will need to have satisfied the general education and support course requirements for Ohio University. Your previous coursework in your associate degree may have satisfied many of these requirements already.
If previous coursework is not sufficient to satisfy all of Ohio University’s baccalaureate degree requirements, students can take the remaining classes at either one of Ohio University’s six campuses, online with Ohio University, or at any other accredited college or university. The tuition for missing general education and support course requirements is very similar to those in the nursing program.

Admissions Requirements for Ohio University RN to BSN Online Program
Applicants need to submit transcripts from all college attended since high school. Transcripts must show successful graduation for an associate degree in nursing (ADN) or nursing diploma. There is no waiting list or minimum GPA requirement.
Admissions staff will use those transcripts to figure out the most expeditious way to earn the bachelor’s degree in nursing based upon how many courses the student is missing (if any). There are eight starting dates throughout the year, so students can start the program at a time when it’s convenient for them.
