Georgia State University Nursing School Admissions Info

Georgia State’s nursing program includes two bachelor’s degree options for those seeking to become a nurse with a RN license. The Byrdine F. Lewis School of Nursing (BFLSON) at Georgia State also offers an accelerated program called ACE (Achieving the Curriculum Expeditiously).

The traditional nursing program is designed to be completed within 3 years after the completion of prerequisite courses.

The Georgia State University accelerated nursing program is to be completed in just 16 months. A time commitment of 81 hours per week is needed which includes classroom, laboratory, clinical, and study time. Students are strongly discouraged from maintaining a full time job or part time job until the program has been completed.

When applying for either program, make sure you have been accepted to Georgia State University as a degree-seeking undergrad. Do not come in as a postbaccalaureate student. Those who have not been accepted by Georgia State University by the nursing application deadline will not be considered for admissions to the nursing program.
